NEWS: FLOCK RANK CLAIMS To help get the site off the ground and get roleplay in action, for the first few weeks of the site being open, there are certain bans and exceptions that are lifted. Please reply to this thread if you are applying for any of the below features.
Currently, you may audition for high flock ranks of canon groups, automatically join a flock without in-character process, create a character that is a juvenile, and have a free uncommon feature pass on your first character.
HIGH RANK OPENINGS These positions do not have to be held for exceptionally long periods of time and are not permanent. But a flock must have a leader. To claim a position, you must audition with a post that demonstrates your roleplay skills. You can apply even if you do not have a verified character. If you are still creating your character, specify this! The positions must be filled by adult characters. Make sure your character fits the flock they are applying for. Some flocks have different member preferences.

FLOCK: Starcrossers RANK: Warking CHARACTER: Angora ABOUT CHARACTER: Angora would be more along the lines of a merchant or otherwise vibrant sort of king. He'd focus on his flock primarily and its connections/relations with outsiders. But he'd be something of a pacifist king, unwilling to fight or allow those under him to fight for others unless this conflict benefits the flock as a whole or at the very least doesn't put them into some deep trouble later. Basically he'll try everything in his power to keep his 'lovelies' out of harm's way, though that doesn't mean that he just pampers and coddles everyone all day. Military strength is a necessity too, he just happens to make it look better is all.
AUDITION: The air was warm and heavy with a humidity which offered no hint of rain or cloud-covered relief. The heat caused the gold and brown griffin's feathers to stick close to his body almost uncomfortably. Angora would have stuck close to some body of water if he knew there was such a thing as a 'private' spring. Alas, even the smallest of amounts of watering had some griffin near it; the waterfall in itself was practically attracting the over-steamed beings like moths. Why was he being stubborn one might ask? Well, normally he wouldn't be. Except unlike many a tropical species, Angora's feathers were a bit more... 'fur'-like; meaning they stuck to his body like some sopping wet mess. It was absolutely terrible to groom out, much more gruesome to just be seen! No! He would not allow such a disgrace!
And so the male trudged along the ground, sticking to the shaded rocks of a more, less traveled path. Griffins would still come through, one and many; but few minus the occasional pretty female managed to draw his attention away from his cool stone pillow. His wings were completely spread out, the cape on his back resting uncomfortably at his back. He would have flared it up if he didn't already know that the effort alone would overheat his muscles. In fact his plan was to stick to the shade, rock hop as it were... until he spotted the shadow of a most unruly looking creature. Unfortunately the foliage and shade obscured most of the shadow before Angora could make out who would dare be in his presence with such a messy crest.
There was movement, shadows; the sounds of trees creaking with griffin weight. Instinct would have been enough alone for the proud griffin to get up and inspect, only he didn't inspect. While he didn't exactly do much other than stand and face the direction he heard these suspicious noises, he wasn't foolish enough to think he was safe even in his own territory. Besides, any subject of his knew to announce themselves or at the very least not hide and skulk around like some insignificant mice. Those weren't even worth the meal... but the shadows which soon began to form up in front of him were certainly not mice. He didn't recognize them, not a single one of their blues, greys, or strange browns. But what was the alarming part was the looks they were giving him and their sheer prowess in size. Hm. Yeah. Nope.
They didn't quite seem ready for his action, all three preparing for a full-on, head-on brawl. Angora wasn't stupid. He ran. Quite quickly too mind you, his limbs quite accustomed for the uneven grounds and roots of his jungle homeland. There was some squaking of words before he head them take off after him. Noisy creatures they were, one of which who sought to catch him on foot while the other two sounded as if they tried the wing path. He already knew the fliers wouldn't be able to catch him or even keep an eye on his so long as he stuck close to the denser of areas, the trees alone made flight hard for those unused to their mazes.
His plan? Take down the fliers, deal with the runner last. The vines and several rows of always in-season fruits were plenty enough to provide an arsenal. A quick flap of his wings and Angora found himself a nest of vines, one tug sending the lot of them to shower down into a griffin who'd tried to dive-bomb at him. His buddy went around, trying to catch the golden king only to find him nowhere to be seen... Angora on the other hand could see the blue creature screeching at his caught grey friend; a surprised squawk leaving him as a sudden weight felt onto his shoulder; dragging him from his hovering position into the ground. A swift knock to the head was enough to knock the beast clear of its senses, leaving it limp under the paradise king's crouching body. "Not very good at this are ya? Silly mice, if ya'd just said a hello I wouldn't have been so quick to judge ya." He would have let out a chuckle if a certain, spontaneous stranger brown hadn't tried to jump him at that moment.
Tucking and rolling, Angora managed to save his feathers from an untimely shave. Oh how shameful that would have been indeed! "Hey! HEY! Watch ya talons ya overgrown barancle!" He hissed at the growling bundle of spastic brown. The assaulter charged him again, predictably so Angora had to admit; it was almost amusing at how easy it was to just laugh and move about. There were swiping talons, charging feathers, and quite a bit more yelling and cursing than Angora would have liked from this berserk thing. "Calm ya self down now lil mouse, ya'll hit a-" There was a heavy thud as the golden griffing moved out of the path again, causing the other to smash itself perfectly into the trunk of a jungle tree. It seemed to wobble a bit, panting heavily; perfect to strike at with one unhesitating wing. Angora did that rather mercilessly. "Never mind." He huffed, whistling a toon as he hopped into the air with his wings fully extended. "Now then... Where is mah Warlord..?"
